Local Homes for Local Kids

At Leverstock Children’s Care, our commitment to providing local homes for local kids is more than a slogan — it’s a core part of who we are and why we started this service.

We are proud to focus our work in Hertfordshire, the place we grew up, the place we know, and the community that shaped us.

Hertfordshire is an area where there is a significant shortage of children's services when compared to other areas of the country, often forcing young people to be placed far from familiar surroundings, schools, and support networks. Being moved out of area can increase feelings of instability, disrupt education, and make it harder for children to maintain healthy relationships.

We believe children deserve better.

Our personal connection to Hertfordshire drives our passion. This is our home and we want to contribute positively to the community that shaped us. We understand the local area, we understand the needs of local authorities here, and we understand the value of keeping children close to everything familiar.

Through Leverstock Children’s Care, we are committed to building high-quality, nurturing, stable homes that allow Hertfordshire’s children to remain in Hertfordshire, surrounded by the support networks and sense of belonging they deserve.

Because every child should have the chance to grow, thrive, and feel at home right where they belong.

Meet Alex & Max, co-founders of Leverstock Children’s Care Ltd.

Their journey began in the Supported Living property development sector, where they collaborated closely with care providers and registered providers to create award-winning Residential Care Homes and Supported Living schemes through their people first, impact led approach.

As social impact developers, their focus has always gone far beyond buildings. They are driven by a belief that high-quality environments, designed with care, can change someone’s life. Through years of developing specialist properties for vulnerable adults and young people, they saw first hand the extraordinary difference that the right home, the right team, and the right support can make. This experience highlighted the urgent need for more exceptional children’s homes, homes that are safe, nurturing, and built around the needs of each young person.

Their development company, Stuart Clinton Property, plays a significant part in this story. Named in honour of their fathers, whom they both lost early in life, their work carries deep personal meaning. This personal motivation underpins their commitment to ensuring that children who may have experienced loss or instability are given the chance to feel safe, supported, and valued.

The name Leverstock was inspired by Leverstock Green, the village where Alex and Max both grew up. It represents their shared roots, strong community values, and a dedication to creating homes that feel safe and supportive — just like the place that shaped them. Their vision is simple, to bring high-quality, therapeutic children’s homes to the community they know best, ensuring local homes for local kids.
